Driver OK After Swerving To Miss Deer, Ending Up In Owasso Pond

A woman who said she tried to swerve and miss a deer in the road ended up driving her car into a small pond off a ramp on U.S. Highway 75 southbound at 76th Street North.

Driver OK After Swerving To Miss Deer, Ending Up In Owasso Pond

A driver who said she tried to swerve and miss a deer in the road ended up driving her car into a small pond off a ramp on U.S. Highway 75 southbound at 76th Street North.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the driver of the convertible was able to get out of the car and is OK.

Owasso police and fire departments also responded to the scene.

A Tulsa dive team was called to the location initially, but once the driver was found to be OK, the team was called off. It will return tomorrow at daylight to recover the car.
