ORU Men's Basketball Takes On Rogers State

ORU men's basketball will be taking on Rogers State Saturday, November 8th. The game tips off at 7:00 p.m. in the Mabee Center.

ORU won their first exhibition game against East Central Monday, 75-68. ORU has had a continuous winning streak in exhibition play, dating back to 2002-2003. Saturday night's game against the Hillcats will be the final exhibition game before regular season gets underway.

This season the Golden Eagles have returned to the Summit League, after playing two years in the Southland Conference. The Southland Conference seemed to make sense at the time, but the team is excited to be in the Summit League again.

ORU Head Coach Scott Sutton said, “They really care about basketball, and I just think it's a better feel.”

Golden Eagle's Obi Emegano stated, “I've played in this conference, and I really enjoyed it. At Western I enjoyed playing for them, but I felt that I needed to take that next step, and that's why I came here. And, I'm glad to be back in the Summit.”

ORU kicks off their regular season November 15th at home against TU. That game will tip off at 7:00 p.m.
