ONG Fixes Natural Gas Leak Near Tulsa Elementary School

ONG workers shut off a natural gas leak near an east Tulsa elementary school early Tuesday.

Dispatchers sent Tulsa firefighters to the scene near Lindbergh Elementary School in the 900 block of South 89th East Avenue just after 6 a.m.

Firefighters said a pressure release valve stuck open and ONG quickly fixed the problem.

Emergency vehicles at the scene backed up traffic around the school for a short time.

School officials urged parents and teachers to use 91st East Avenue and 9th Street for access to parking.
