A line of thunderstorms producing heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds pushed across eastern Oklahoma into Arkansas early Tuesday causing power outages and minor damage in their wake.
Public Service Company says at one point 350 customers in the Tulsa area were without electricity. As of 5:30 a.m. all power had been restored.
A Tulsa condominium owner reports a lightning strike early Tuesday awoke her and caused damage inside her residence. It happened at the Oakbrook Village Condominiums in the 1300 block of South 110th East Avenue.
Diana Fowler says the strike blew a hole in a wall of her living room.
The strike also caused significant damage to the roof of her condominium. The Tulsa Fire Department was sent to the condos, but firefighters determined there was no fire.
Diana Fowler says the strike and damage has been a nerve racking experience.
"Its quite scary to be woke up out of your sleep and all of the sudden hear a big boom and glass shattering everywhere. and so it kind of scared me a little bit," said Diana Fowler.
Fowler wasn't injured and said she will talking with her insurance agent about the damage caused by the strike.
