A Pawhuska juvenile was killed Saturday evening in Osage County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The Highway Patrol did not release the driver's name, but The Bigheart Times identifies the boy as high school student Mikey Lynn.
Troopers say the rollover wreck took place just before 6 p.m. on County Road 4301 about a mile west of County Road 4201, a collision report states. Lynn was driving a 2006 Chevrolet eastbound at an unsafe speed when the vehicle left the roadway.
The Chevrolet rolled an unknown number of times, and Lynn was ejected. OHP says he died at the scene from head and other injuries.
There was another juvenile from Pawhuska that was riding in the passenger seat. That person, who was also not identified, was admitted to a Tulsa hospital in good condition. Neither boy was wearing a seat belt, troopers say.
The investigating trooper says the condition of the driver at the time of the wreck is under investigation. Unsafe speed for the type of roadway caused the wreck, according to a collision report.
