Sand Springs police have issued a wanted bulletin for a man they say robbed and sexually assaulted a woman working at a liquor store Saturday night. The armed robbery and sexual assault took place at about 8 p.m. at the Dreams Wine and Liquor store, 3965 South Highway 97.
A liquor store clerk was working alone when a man came in the store and acted like he was shopping, according to Deputy Chief of Police Mike Carter. Once other customers walked out, he held a knife up to the clerk and told her to give him money from the cash register.
After she handed over the money, he forced her to go with him to the back of the store where he sexually assaulted her.
The man stopped the sexual assault "for an unknown reason" and left the store, Carter said.
Sand Springs Police think the man also robbed a Payless Shoe Store in the same shopping center on October 10, 2014.

"The description and actions of the suspect in both crimes lead investigators to believe that the same suspect could be responsible," Carter said in the news release.
They issued a photo of the man who is a white male between 30 and 40 years of age. He's 5'08" tall, 195 pounds with dirty blond hair. He was wearing a tan ball cap, black sweat shirt, blue jeans and tan work boots. He is also described as having a puffy or drooping left eye.
If you recognize him or have any information about the crime, call Sand Springs Police at 918-245-8777.
