NORDAM To Bring Hundreds Of Jobs To Tulsa

NORDAM says it is ready to bring hundreds of new jobs to Tulsa thanks to a contract it signed with a Canadian engine company.

According to a news release, NORDAM signed the contract with Pratt & Whitney Canada in 2010 and after four years of development is ready to move forward.

NORDAM says it will design, engineer, develop and manufacture the inlet, nacelle and thrust reverser for Pratt & Whitney Canada's PW814GA and PW815GA engines, which will be used on the Gulfstream G500 and G600 aircraft.

NORDAM CEO Meredith Siegfried says once the program is in full production the company will have added about 300 jobs to the 2,500 it already has in Tulsa.

The program may also help the company land work for other companies. 

"This integrated powerplant system has the potential to span across other large-cabin, long range business jets – a market that's proven its economic resilience and has a promising outlook for future growth." Siegfried said.
