Generous Donations Help News On 6 Deliver Big Check To Food Bank

News On 6 is on a mission to end childhood hunger in Oklahoma, and we want to thank you for your help.

Your donations at our Tulsa State fair booth helped us raise more than $11,000 for the "Food For Kids Backpack Program." News On 6 Anchor Terry Hood was proud to present that check to the Food Bank Tuesday.

"It was unbelievable. We raised so much money last year, that I didn't think it was possible to exceed it and you did," said Eileen Bradford, Food Bank Executive Director.

And it's all because of the generosity of the people who donated! We want to thank everyone who donated money to see their favorite News On 6 anchor kiss a pig.

The Backpack Program is such a worthy cause. The Food Bank says they're handing out twice as many backpacks of food to hungry children this year compared to this time a year ago.
