The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a collision between two semis in LeFlore County Wednesday morning killed both drivers.

Troopers said the 10:55 a.m. crash was on Highway 9 near the intersection with Highway 59.

The OHP says the crash closed Highway 9 in both directions.

According to reports a semi driven by 58-year-old Donald Sharp was west on Highway 59 and the other semi, driven by 47-year-old Kelvin Hudson was headed east on Highway 59.

OHP said a vehicle slowed to make a turn when Sharps semi went left of center and hit Hudson's semi causing them both to catch fire. They said Sharp was pinned for about three hours until he was freed by Spiro and Panama fire departments.

LeFlore County Sheriff's deputies told KFSM TV, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith, Arkansas one of the trucks was carrying rocks, the other was empty. They said one of the trucks may have had brake problems prior to the crash.
