Two people were displaced by an overnight house fire near Apache and Martin Luther King Boulevard in Tulsa.

Neighbor Robert Dixon said he woke to hear people screaming about a fire and called 911.

"I didn't know if it was mine or what," he said. "I just woke up and made sure everybody was out of the house, just made sure everybody was safe."

Tulsa Fire Captain Jarrod Perry said firefighters got to the 1200-square foot house in the 300 block of East Young Place to find heavy flames. They had some trouble getting to flames in part of the attic because the house had been remodeled.

One crew started a search and rescue and found the man and woman living in the home had gotten out safely.

No one was injured. The Red Cross was called out to help the homeowners.

Dixon said it was frightening because the flames were so close to his home, but he's just glad everyone's OK.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Perry said.
