Thousands of Oklahomans won't have to worry about their next meal thanks to a big donation from Tyson Foods.
The company donated more than 30,000 pounds of food to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
It was given out to 61 agencies working to help feed hungry Oklahomans.
They were able to take the food directly, thanks to TU athletes, who did the heavy lifting.
The food banks said Tyson's donation is really meeting a need.
"Most of it is going to be chicken product, which is a wonderful, high-quality protein which most of our agencies are finding difficult for them to keep and make available to their clients,” said Cindy Cummins with the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
This is the third year the Food Bank's partnered with Tyson.
