It has taken almost three years but students at Rogers State University can now enjoy a new $5 million dining hall.
The dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting officially kicked off Chapman Dining Hall's grand opening Tuesday.
It's a state of the art cafeteria that is over 17,000-square feet and can serve up to 1,000 meals a day.
It's the first time in years that the university has offered a comprehensive campus dining facility, offering meals morning day and night.
"Our students, like any student, they want options. Some are vegetarians, some of them have gluten free diets, so this provides us an attractive and safe and comfortable way to accommodate all of our staff, faculty and students,” said RSU President, Dr. Larry Rice.
The cafeteria's basement also serves as a storm shelter.
