There is a change in the parking at this year's Tulsa State Fair. The state fair opens on Thursday, September 25, 2014 and if you want to park at the Tulsa County Fairgrounds after 5 p.m. on weekdays or on the weekends, its going to cost $10.
That parking fee may have some fairgoers thinking about parking in neighborhoods surrounding the Tulsa County Fairgrounds. The Tulsa Police Department says it will be cracking down on that.
Police officers will be out in those neighborhoods writing tickets with fines ranging from $30 to $60 and if it's a tow-away zone, you'll get towed. Police also say if drivers park in someone's front yard or within 10 feet of a fire hydrant, that vehicle may not be there when you get back.

The Tulsa State Fair is offering a free alternative, state fair shuttles:
The Tulsa State Fair says the reason for the fairgrounds parking fee is to encourage everyone to use the free shuttles.
