Muskogee Police are investigating after two shootings wounded four people Sunday night. The shootings took place at two different locations, and authorities aren't sure if they're connected.
The first "shots fired" calls came in at about 10:22 p.m. in the 300 to 500 block of North 7th, according to a news release from Corporal Michael Mahan, Muskogee Police Department. Shortly afterward, two adult men arrived at a hospital emergency room with gunshot wounds.
They went to the hospital in a car that had been hit by gunfire, Mahan said.
About 20 minutes later, a man and woman sitting on the front porch of a home in the 200 block of North 14th were both shot. The home is the same address where a man named Donte Edwards lived. Edwards was recently arrested for a shooting at the Frog Wild Saloon in Muskogee County, according to police.
"At this time it is too early to determine if the shooting is retaliatory in nature," Corporal Mahan said.
