The University of Oklahoma broke ground on a new multi-million dollar medical training facility on their Tulsa campus Wednesday.
The Tandy Education Center will feature the latest high-tech medical simulators. The University said the new equipment will allow students to learn and practice in life-like scenarios.
OU President David Boren said there will be no other simulation center like it in the country.
"It's a dream come true, and when we started, we never could have imagined what we'd be looking at today,” Boren said.
The center will include an ER, exam rooms, an intensive care unit, as well as an apartment model for in-home scenarios.
