Lightning Strike Blamed For Tahlequah Power Outage

Tahlequah Public Works Authority reported half of the community was without electric service for about an hour and a half Saturday morning. 

A person who answered the phone at TPWA told News On 6, a lightning strike on a transformer caused the outage.  

A police dispatcher said electric service was restored just after 9 a.m.
