Storms Cause Damage At Bartlesville Schools

Bartlesville Public Schools are closed because of a power outage. The roof is damaged at Bartlesville Mid-High School and water leaked into the band room and auditorium.

Storms damaged a school building in Bartlesville. Bartlesville Public Schools are closed because the power is out.

School officials posted the following message on the school's Facebook page:

As a result of the power outages, we are having issues with our SchoolMessenger notification system. Please help us by sharing the school closing information with as many people as possible. Thank you for your help!

The storm damaged the roof over the band room and the auditorium at Bartlesville Mid-High School. Employees are working to clean up the damage at the school which is located at 5900 Baylor Drive.  

The storms also knocked down tree limbs and power lines in Craig, Osage and Nowata counties. No injuries have been reported.

More thunderstorms are in the forecast Tuesday for northern Oklahoma. A flash flood watch is in effect for extreme northeastern Oklahoma until 1 p.m. Tuesday.
