A Collinsville man is in the Tulsa jail after police say he abused a neighbor's child then forced his way into their house and assaulted the boy's mother. George Glen Trammell was arrested Saturday evening on West Oak Street.
Collinsville Police said the 40-year-old man had been drinking when he came into a neighbors' front yard and yelled at their son for playing with a screwdriver. Witnesses told police Trammell grabbed the boy by the arm, forcing him up off the ground and throwing the screwdriver on the grass.
When the boy's father told Trammell to stop, Trammell reportedly followed the man inside the home, threatening to kill him and shoved his wife against a wall, according to an arrest report. Trammell left the home, continuing to threaten the family from outdoors, then "pushed his way back into the house a second time," the report states.
The arresting officer said Trammell smelled strongly of alcohol and had damage to the knuckles on his right hand. Trammell reportedly admitted going into the neighbor's yard but denied going into the house or assaulting anyone.
Police said the child had no visible injuries.
George Trammell is being held on a $70,500 bond for complaints of child abuse, assault and battery and first-degree burglary.
