Scattered showers are moving across eastern Oklahoma Friday morning. News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says the showers are moving northeast at about 10 to 20 mph and are not severe.
The rain has also brought cooler temperatures to eastern Oklahoma. Crone says Friday's highs will be the mid-80's.
He says for the rest of Friday and into early Saturday the forecast calls for additional scattered thunderstorm development. Most of the showers Friday will be light to moderate, but Crone says some strong thunderstorms could develop over eastern Oklahoma in the afternoon as it gets warmer.

By Saturday, most of the rain will slide off to the east and the temperatures will climb back into the 90's.
Looking ahead to Labor Day holiday on Monday, Crone says showers are forecast to stay north of the Kansas-Oklahoma state line with temperatures in the 90's, but some could slide into Oklahoma.
