Wreck Closes 46th Street North Near Highway 169 For Hours

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says 46th Street North was closed between Highway 169 and 145th East Avenue for more than four hours because of a wreck.

ODOT says a westbound dump truck turned left in front of an eastbound dump truck at about 12:30 p.m. The eastbound truck tried to avoid the collision and went left of center, colliding with a Honda Civic. 

The eastbound dump truck wound up in a grassy area on north side of the road. The Civic did spun around 180 degrees and then struck another westbound truck. The four people in the Civic were transported to hospitals, one in critical condition. 

Hazmat responded to the scene due to engine oil and antifreeze in roadway. 

ODOT reopened 46th Street North at about 4:45 p.m.
