Iron Gate, a downtown Tulsa soup kitchen that feeds the needy every day, is holding a Kids Pack Challenge to provide food for kids.

Statistics show one in four kids go to bed hungry in Tulsa County. Iron Gate holds a back-to-school challenge to provide healthy snacks for every hungry or homeless child who comes to the mission at 501 South Cincinnati.

Executive Director Connie Cronley is asking people to donate $5 to provide a kids' pack. Iron Gate plans to give out about 12,000 Kids' Packs this year.

The goal of the challenge is to raise at least $5,000 to cover the expense of 1,000 kids' packs for the first month of school in Tulsa.
