If you're looking to buy your first home, it turns out you might want to check out Broken Arrow. A new study from the web site Wallet Hub names Broken Arrow has the best city in the country to buy a house.
The study looked at affordability, the real estate market and the overall community.
Norman was ranked third. Oklahoma City and Tulsa were ranked 22nd and 23rd respectively.
“It’s no surprise that out of the 300 largest cities in the U.S., Broken Arrow is the best city for first time home owners. You get a high value home for less than what you’d pay in other parts of the country,” said Mayor Craig Thurmond.
The Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs of Allen, Denton and Frisco made up the rest of the Top 5.
According Wallet Hub, the real estate database Zillow says the current median home value in Broken Arrow is $146,500.
