Tulsa Fire Department crews  responded to a call about smoke inside the Performing Arts Center at Third Street and Martin Luther King Blvd twice on Friday.

Firefighters evacuated the building on Friday afternoon while they worked to locate the cause of the smoke.

They later said they didn't find the origin of the smoke. The PAC requested TFD stay on fire watch throughout the evening.

Later Friday evening crews were called back just before 7:00 p.m. due to smoke. This time firefighters said a stage light was left on top of some plywood causing the smoke.

They believe that is what caused the smoke from earlier as well and said that due to the size of the building they didn't originally see the light on the wood.

Shows will go on as scheduled this evening, a spokesperson said.
