While the family of Jeremey Lake is waiting for answers, and for charges to be filed against the man accused of killing him, friends are showing their support.
The off duty officer accused in the shooting is behind bars but still hasn't been charged ten days after the crime.
While they wait, the family of the victim is taking comfort from the people around them.
The signs of support have been constant for the family of Jeremey Lake; and several times since his death, groups of people have circled up around his family to let them know they're not alone.
Friday, about two dozen people told stories about the 19 year old who was shot to death last week.

Jeremy’s friend, David Moore said, "He helped me fix my bicycles and everything. He said ‘if you need it fixed, bring it by and I'll fix it for you.’”
The friends of the family are there to help them and to keep pressure on police and prosecutors to handle the case the right way.
"I could understand if the boy did anything, but he didn't do nothing, so what was in the police officers mind to get out and start shooting,” said family friend, Reverend Robert Crawford.
Few details have come out since the arrest of off duty officer Shannon Kepler, who is accused of the murder. His wife Gina was arrested as an accessory, but she’s now bonded out of jail.
Lake's family said they believe they'll get justice in the case and they're willing to wait for it.
"I'd like to have it right now, but I'm just letting it take it like it’s supposed to, do the court thing, let them file the reports and keep us informed about what's going to go one and hear the facts and let the truth come out,” said Lake’s father, Carl Morse.
The family said they never realized how many people knew their son; and now people who didn't know him are reaching out too.
Charon Powell's daughters were killed in the Fairmont Terrace murders.
"That's why I'm here, I know how she feels,” said Powell.
The district attorney's office continues to review the case but hasn't filed the charges yet. When that happens, more details about what police say happened should come out.
