A Tulsa woman was so shocked to find an intruder standing in her kitchen, she says she threw coffee in his face. It happened overnight near 19th and Utica in the Swan Lake area.
The man ran out of the home and tried to escape on a bicycle, but a K-9 unit tracked him down.
Police say 54-year old Nathaniel Hudson has a lengthy criminal history, serving time in prison for stolen property and burglary. On Friday morning, he was booked into the Tulsa County Jail, after a couple of chases that involved some midtown trails.
Police say he got into a home at 19th and Utica, and the homeowner's wife saw him and threw coffee at him.
Police don't know why he was there in the first place, but he grabbed cigarettes off the counter and left. Authorities say he hopped on a bike, they chased him a little bit, and they briefly lost him.
Eventually a K-9 unit tracked him down as he got on another bike.
"K-9 was able to just touch him as he started to run off on the other bike, but we had plenty of officers that were quickly able to apprehend him," said Corporal Jerrod Hart, Tulsa Police Department.
Hudson gave up at 18th and Baltimore. Police tell us he may be connected to other burglaries in the area.
