On Friday afternoon, police found the SUV belonging to a Tulsa Police officer suspected of killing his daughter's boyfriend.
Sergeant Dave Walker with the Tulsa Police said a Mingo Valley patrol officer found a Chevrolet Suburban that belongs to Shannon and Gina Kepler.
The Suburban was found at a Motel 6 at 12200 East 51st Street around 2:15 p.m. Friday, Walker said. He said the vehicle was towed and will be searched.
Shannon Kepler was arrested when he and his wife turned themselves in after their daughter's boyfriend, Jeremy Lake, was shot and killed.
Police say Lake and the Keplers' adopted daughter Lisa were walking west of downtown Tuesday night, August 5, 2014, when Shannon Kepler pulled up in the SUV. The veteran Tulsa police officer confronted the couple and fired several shots, according to Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker.
Lake, 19, was killed. Lisa Kepler, 18, was not injured.
