The Tulsa Medical Examiner released autopsy results on serial sexual rape suspect Desmond Campbell Tuesday afternoon. Campbell died as a result of injuries received in a car accident police say took place only minutes after his final sexual assault of a Tulsa woman.
"The cause of death is complications of traumatic brain injury due to blunt force trauma of head," the medical examiner concludes. "The manner of death is ruled an accident."
Campbell died July 8, 2014, in St. Francis ICU. He wrecked into a large sign post along Interstate 44 near Sheridan just before 6 a.m. June 29, 2014.
In addition to the blunt force trauma to his head, Campbell sustained injuries to his face, neck, chest and right leg, the autopsy states. The toxicology report reveals that Campbell's blood was tested for alcohol only and that there was none present in his system.
Campbell's body had no other abnormalities noted. The report states he had several tattoos with the names "Nicole," Tammy" and "Deborah" and "Young/Playa" on the back of his hands.
