Bixby Police found evidence of a meth lab and more when they went to check out a report of someone stealing a neighbor's electricity.
Authorities arrested a couple Friday morning on drug-related complaints, child endangerment and petty larceny. William T. and Crystal Rae Wilborn are in the Tulsa County Jail.
Police went to the neighbor's home in the 8700 block of East 170th Place South Thursday night to check out a larceny of electric utilities report. They followed an extension cord from that house to the back of the Wilborn's residence, an arrest report states.
While in the couple's back yard, officers say they found a metal water trough containing burned trash, which included items used in the manufacture of methamphetamines: batteries cut open, what appeared to be empty Drano cans and an empty pseudoephedrine pack.
Police said Crystal Wilborn came home during that time. Officers said she was extremely nervous and repeated said she didn't know what was in the house since she'd been gone several days. The arrest report states Wilborn gave police permission to search the home, and they found paraphernalia in the master bedroom, marijuana in a child's bedroom and more meth lab equipment in a bathroom.
Police say a juvenile male and Billy Wilborn were also inside the home. The boy and another juvenile who police say live in the home were turned over to the Department of Human Services, the report states.
Billy Wilborn, 38, and 34-ear-old Crystal Wilborn were booked on complaints of drug possession and manufacturing, child endangerment, petit larceny and possession of paraphernalia.
