The Kansas Paint Horse Association is celebrating its 50th anniversary by sponsoring a worldwide competition in Tulsa. There are 1,000 participants from across the globe competing at Expo Square.
The Worldwide Paint Horse Competition is the second largest paint horse show in the country.
Events include western and English riding, as well as barrel racing and speed events.
Each of the competing horses has a set of unique features.
"Paint horse has to do with the coloring -- the marking -- the white on these horses -- we call it chrome," chairman Casey West said.
The competition runs through Sunday at the fairgrounds.
