DA Says Muskogee Officers Justified In July Shooting

The Muskogee County District Attorney said three Muskogee police officers were justified when they shot and wounded a man earlier in July.

Officers Chansey McMillan, Nick Ford, and Jason Steele have been on paid leave since the July 9th shooting.

Investigators said Angel Cerda was shot in the legs and abdomen when he lunged at the officers with a knife. The officers were responding to a stabbing call.

Cerda recovered and is now being held in the Muskogee County jail.
