For the first time in 15 years, a little league team from Tulsa has won baseball games at the regional tournament level.

The Oklahoma state champions from Tulsa defeated a team from Arkansas on Sunday and a team from Texas last night at the tournament in Grand Junction.

The tournament is part of the Little League World Series. The teams playing in Denver are age 13 and younger.

Each state has a champion in each age group, with each team being made up of the best players for leagues across that state.

A team of 14-year-olds from Oklahoma is playing in New Mexico next week.

If this team keeps winning, it will play for the championship which takes place in California.

One of the coaches is News On 6 reporter Rick Wells. He says it's been a challenge for the coaches to keep up with the laundry.
