Tulsa Man Injured In Montgomery County, Kansas Crash

An elderly Kansas woman died and a truck driver from Tulsa was injured in a crash Monday evening in Montgomery County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Toyota Prius driven by Jeanne Bressie, 73, of Overland Park was exiting off Highway 400 to Highway 169 north of Independence when her car failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by a southbound semi.

Bressie was taken to a nearby hospital where she died. The truck driver, Gerald David, 48, Tulsa as transported to an Independence hospital.

The KHP reported both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the 7:25 p.m. crash.
