Scorching temperatures return to eastern Oklahoma this weekend, but a cold front will bring nicer temps by Tuesday.
News On 6 meteorologist Michael Grogan says Friday’s high will be near 94 degrees, but it will get even warmer Saturday and Sunday with temperatures climbing to 100 degrees. Combine that with the humidity and heat index values will be in the 100s.
Grogan says a strong cold front is expected to arrive late Monday or early Tuesday bringing unseasonable cool temperatures to the Sooner State. The chance for rain showers will go up as well. He says the high on Tuesday may only reach 81 degrees.

As the mercury rises this weekend, Grogan says so to does your chances of a heat related illness, like heat stroke, heat exhaustion and heat cramps, and it does not take long for high temperatures to cause serious health problems.
