Water Main Break Shuts Off Water To Businesses Near Pine And Garnett

A water main break is affecting businesses east of the intersection of Pine and Garnett.

The pipe broke some time before 6 a.m. a couple hundred feet east of Garnett on the north side of Pine.

A repair crew from the city had to shut off water to the area, affecting several businesses in the area. They include Spirit AeroSystems and American Airlines, which each have significant operations on the north side of Pine.

Workers at American Airlines say the company ordered a dozen portable toilets for them to use until the repair crew fixes the break.

They say the city crew told them it should be fixed by 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
