The man who brutally beat and robbed an elderly Tulsa couple will spend the rest of his life in prison. A judge sentenced Tyrone Woodfork to four life sentences, plus 40 years, in the deaths of Bob and Nancy Strait.

Right before he was sentenced, Woodfork apologized to the family and said he was not the real killer, but didn't react when he learned he would spend the rest of his life in prison.

It's a sentence that Bob and Nancy Strait's daughters said they had been praying for.

"He will never be out of prison to hurt anyone ever again," Lanora Gay said.

The 22 year old will serve four consecutive life sentences, plus forty years for raping and killing 84-year-old Nancy, then beating her 89-year-old husband two years ago.

Right before Woodfork learned his fate he apologized. When asked what was going through their minds, the Strait's daughters said they didn't believe it was sincere.

"You liar. Insincere. I don't know that I bought it. He was grinning through the whole thing. For the whole trial it looked like he was cracking jokes with his lawyer. I felt like he had no conscious," the women said.

In court Woodfork spoke directly to the family and said, "I'm sorry for y'all loss. I am sorry I can't tell you who really did the crime, but snitches get dealt with. My heart goes out to your family. I am still going to fight for my life and try to help y'all during the right time."

Assistant District Attorney, Erik Bayless, said, "That's nonsense. He made statements to police that he was in that house, that he beat the victims that he stole their property, and then left in their car. It was nonsense. It was an attempt by him at the last second to hopefully garner mercy from the judge."

The judge told Woodfork his lack of remorse shows he cannot be rehabilitated. The Strait's daughters still can't understand why their parents were attacked over a flat screen TV, $200 and a car.

"They were very generous. Had Woodfork knocked on the door and asked them for anything they would have gave it to them," Andra Harper said.

Bob and Nancy were married more than 65 years, raised seven children, and had a large extended family.

"You always know you are going to lose your parents, but you never think you are going to walk in and find your mom gone and your dad beaten up. It's just something I am going to have to live with," Harper said.

Woodfork has ten days to file an appeal and his attorneys said he will appeal.
