The Tulsa Police Department opened its mobile command post at the Tulsa County Fairgrounds Tuesday. The command post is part of a concentrated effort to catch a man who has sexually assaulted eight Tulsa women since June 5, 2014.

Police opened the post late Tuesday afternoon and plan to stay there until the suspect is found.

"Something needs to be done. I don't think we need another attack to realize that," said Tulsa resident, Kelsey Jabbin.

Police say more than 50 officers are part of a task force formed to find and arrest the man behind the sexual assaults. They have received 160 calls from Crime Stoppers.

"I think anything they can do at this point is definitely encouraged and I'm ready for all of this to be over," Jabbin said.

Monday afternoon, TPD Chief Chuck Jordan told News On 6 they've already received over 100 tips from the public and want residents to continue to call if they see anything suspicious, know the exact location of the suspect, what he looks like, whether he was seen on foot or in a car and whom he was with.

Jordan believes a tip will eventually lead them to the attacker.

Jabbin said, "Noticing any strange cars, if anyone is out and about at odd hours, just trying to be alert."

Police describe the suspect as a man of medium complexion, in his 40s, about 5-foot-9-inches tall, with straight black hair and weighing about 150 pounds.

He wore a white t-shirt, blue jeans and brown leather boots during one attack.

Tulsa resident, Ashley Aary, is taking police advice to lock your doors, keep your home well-lit and even get a dog.

"I do have a security system, but just in case anyone does happen to break in, I know he will protect me," she said.

Here's a list of the dates and locations of the attacks:
