Police Investigate North Peoria Crash

Police say two people were taken to a Tulsa hospital after a crash in the 3300 block of North Peoria late Sunday.

Officers said the driver of a Ford Explorer headed north on Peoria went left of center and struck a Pontiac stopped at the intersection of Peoria and 33rd Street North at about 11:30 p.m. The  Explorer continued north, finally stopping near the parking lot of Hawthorne Elementary school.

Firefighters had to pry open the door of the Pontiac to get the driver out.

Tulsa Police say they don't believe alcohol was involved in the crash and neither driver was seriously injured.

An investigation into the crash continues.
