Three people are dead after a crash between two trucks on the Indian Nation Turnpike near Antlers Thursday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers told KXII, the CBS affiliate in Sherman, Texas, just after 1 p.m. two semi trucks headed north on the turnpike collided in Pushmataha County.

The OHP said one of the trucks tried to turn around when another truck struck the first at a high rate of speed.  Both trucks caught fire.

Troopers said both drivers and a passenger in one of the trucks was killed.

The OHP said turnpike was closed in both directions between Hugo and Antlers until 10 p.m.

Names of the victims have not been released.
