A bold thief was caught on camera, stealing a FedEx package off of a Tulsa man's front porch.
The homeowner shared exclusive video in hopes that someone will recognize her and she won't do it again.
The west Tulsa home is outfitted with five surveillance cameras, several of which clearly are visible from the street. The homeowner said they installed the cameras after burglars took thousands of dollars of electronics and gifts two Christmases ago.
Kyle Kell said earlier in the video, he saw the woman's vehicle pass by several times, and when she finally parked, it's right in front of a "no parking" sign.
All of this happened in broad daylight, around noon.
On the video, you can see the woman walks through the front yard, right onto the porch, and leave with Kell's package.
"I was surprised that she didn't even act like she was concerned that there was people watching her," Kell said.
Kell said he was just waking up to get ready for work when it happened, and he didn't realize it was stolen until he checked online and saw his part had been delivered.
"It's just the principle of the matter, not the actual object that was taken. It could have been anything, and she walked up and just took it," Kell said.
Inside the package was a transmission pan, an inexpensive truck part. He was using it to rebuild his 1999 Dodge Ram. Kell said he put a lot of money, and several months, into restoring it.
Although he isn't pleased, Kell said he still has a sense of humor about it.
"I mean, she may put drugs in it, I mean, she may make a casserole with it, you know. I don't know what she would do with this thing," he said.
He said he tried calling the police non-emergency number and the dispatcher told him to call the Postmaster. A TPD spokesperson said that Tulsa Police do investigate these incidents.
Kell's not going to try to recover the part anymore; he just wants the woman to stop.
"I just wanna see this lady be brought down so she don't do this to anyone else," he said.
Since the incident, the homeowners have added another camera and are considering other security measures so they, hopefully, won't be victims for a third time.
Kell also said that he's not planning on pursuing this any further legally, but he said he did ask the delivery company to start requiring signatures, instead of leaving packages on the porch.
