Mayes County Man Jailed, Wife Wounded

Mayes County Sheriff's Office deputies say a man is in jail for shooting with intent to kill. His wife was shot multiple times.

A Mayes County man is in jail and his wife in the hospital after a shooting Sunday night. Dale Max Aaron was booked on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill.

Captain Rod Howell of the Mayes County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a rural address outside Inola after reports of a domestic disturbance. They found a woman in her 50s who had been shot several times with a semi-automatic rifle.

The wounded woman was taken to a Tulsa-area hospital. No word on her condition.

Deputies arrested her husband, 60-year-old Dale Aaron. They also searched the residence but did not release any information on what was found.
