For the men who fought for freedom on D-Day, it is a day they will never forget. One Oklahoma veteran uses art to help him cope.
Bill Hart enlisted in 1942 and fought on D-Day. He said his initial job was to drive a jeep and place the dead soldier inside.
He said he's always been an artist, but didn't get a chance to do any while in the army. Hart said once he was finished, however, it was suggested that he start painting to get over his stress.
Hart now takes his art to various shows around Green Country and also had sold several pieces.
