The Tulsa Drillers' offense came alive on Wednesday night, as the Drillers won their fifth straight game, 11-8 over Northwest Arkansas.
The Drillers pounded out 16 hits and every Tulsa player collected at least one. Jayson Langfels and Cristhian Adames had three hits each.
Ryan Arrowood picked up the win for Tulsa while Jason Adam took the loss. Kraig Sitton picked up the save, striking out four batters over the last two innings.
The scoring came fast and furious in the first inning, as the Drillers and Naturals combined to score seven runs. The Drillers put up four runs on four hits and a walk before recording a single out. In the bottom of the frame, NW Arkansas responded with three runs on three hits and a Tulsa error.
The two teams put up three runs each in the third inning and a single run each in the fourth. Ryan Casteel led off the third inning with a solo home run for Tulsa. With two outs, Harold Riggins hit an RBI double and Langfels hit an RBI single. The big hit in the bottom of the inning was a two-RBI single from Micah Gibbs.
Orlando Calixte hit a solo shot for the Naturals for their lone run in the fourth inning.
The Drillers built an 11-7 lead over the next few innings, but in the eighth inning, the Naturals loaded the bases with no outs. Sitton came on in relief of Brandon Erbe and got two strikeouts and a fly out to end the threat, but not before walking in a run.
