The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a woman making an illegal U-turn on a gravel road led to an injury crash on Highway 412 east of Catoosa Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers say the crash occurred when the driver of an eastbound Chevy car slowed to turn and was hit from behind by an eastbound Chevy pickup.

It happened near the intersection of Highway 412 and 265th East Avenue just before 1 p.m.

OHP says the woman driving the car was ejected and was flown by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital. Her male passenger was injured and was also taken to the hospital, with what are believed to be minor injuries.

Troopers said neither person in the car was wearing a seat belt. The two people in the pickup were not injured.
