The Russell family spent their first night in their rebuilt home. It was this time last year when their home was hit hard by the EF-2 tornado that packed winds of 135 miles an hour.

The neighborhood was in the middle of the six-mile tornado path.

The tornado touched down just after dinner time and it was unclear how extensive the damage was. When daylight broke the Russell's and their neighbors started picking up their belongings.

One year later the Russell family is back in their rebuild home and the neighborhood held a candlelight vigil thanking the first responders and the volunteers who helped them one year ago.
