Okmulgee Police Believe Alcohol Involved In Fatal Crash

Okmulgee police are investigating a fatal head-on crash that happened just north of town on Highway 75.

Police say just before 2:30 a.m. a 2009 Hyundai, driven by Stacy Cochran, was heading north in the south bound lane of Highway 75 and hit a south bound 2000 Lexus, driven by Nicole McMullen.

Officers say Cochran and Jessica Hinds, a passenger in the Lexus, were pronounced dead at the scene. McMullen was flown to a Tulsa Hospital and her condition is unknown at this time.

Police say they believe alcohol may have been involved based on evidence at the scene, but the crash is still being investigated.
