The Tulsa County sheriff's office is celebrating a milestone with its In2Work program. The first four female inmates graduated Thursday morning.
In2Work is a partnership with Aramark to teach qualified inmates skills in the food service industry that can be used after they're released.
The inmates learned kitchen and retail basics along with proper food service. They cooked and served a full meal Thursday as part of their graduation.
Program graduate, Benjel Kimbro, said, "I've never actually done anything legal. That's what I'm saying, this is phenomenal to me. I love it. This is a new, a beginning."
The In2Work program launched in Tulsa last September; four male inmates were the first graduates.
