Osage SkyNews 6 Helps Battle Kellyville Wild Fire

Osage SkyNews 6 helped with a firefight Wednesday evening. Wildfires chewed through wooded grassland near Kellyville around 6 p.m.

The flames came dangerously close to several homes. Firefighters made their stand and beat back the flames.

At one point, crews told us they were watching the live footage from Osage SkyNews 6 on the News On 6 mobile app and saw the wildfires jump a creek. They called Osage SkyNews 6 pilot Will Kavanagh to get his input on how to best fight the flames.

They used that information to reposition their crews to better defend homes in the fire's path.
