Tulsa Police say a motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning as he tried to get onto Interstate 44. The fatality crash took place near 11th and Garnett at about 1:30 a.m.
A police officer driving on Garnett came up on the wreck, according to Tulsa Police Sergeant Robert Rohloff.
The victim, riding a maroon Harley Davidson, was following someone northbound on Garnett and wrecked as made a wide turn and hit a curb. He then hit a sign and was thrown from the motorcycle, sustaining a head injury.
The man, identified as John Bannon, was not wearing a helmet, Rohloff said.
