The Metropolitan Environmental Trust opened a new recycling drop-center in downtown Tulsa on Thursday. It's located on the southern edge of downtown, at 11th and Cincinnati, right by Tulsa Community College.

The new center accepts everything you'd expect; like plastic, paper, and glass. But you can also bring motor oil, cooking oil, batteries, eye glasses, and even small electronics.

The MET said they wanted to be a part of downtown Tulsa's growth.

"We want to service small businesses and residents and multi-family housing, and so we realized that there was a need for a recycling center here," said Annie Tyndall with the Metropolitan Environmental Trust.

The center is staffed from 9 a.m. to noon each day, but also offers 24-hours drop-off service.
