Oklahoma homeowners are paying the highest insurance rates in the country, according to new data.
Insurance premiums in Oklahoma are paying $1,564, which is 93 percent higher than the national average, homeownersinsurance.com reports.
The second highest premiums were recorded in Kansas, where homeowners are paying an average of $1,144/year to insure a home. The U.S. average was $810, up less than 1 percent from 2013, the report says.
Average premiums in Oregon were reportedly $419/year.
